Kama / Кама

After World War II, the Chistopol Watch Factory focused heavily on wristwatch production. This lead to a proliferation of discrete brands in the 1950s, all powered by Chistopol movements. These brands included Almaz, Chaika, Druzhba, Kama, Kolos, Mir, Pobeda, Raduga, Rubin, Saturn, Sputnik, Uran, Volna, Vostok, and Yantar.

The Kama brand was named after the eponymous river (Река Кама), beside which the Chistopol Watch Factory was settled. This line of watches, first introduced in 1952, was well-known for its advanced movement design (a 17-jewel double-shock-resistant caliber 2603) and dust-resistant case technology. The larger, standard Kama case was produced in two styles (with a snap-on back or with a bayonet back), while a smaller, octagonal case featured only a bayonet back. All case-backs were stamped "Кама".

The Kama brand was retired in 1964, when the vast majority of brands from the Chistopol Watch Factory were consolidated under a single trademark: Vostok.
