Druzhba / 友谊
After World War II, the Chistopol Watch Factory focused heavily on wristwatch production. This lead to a proliferation of discrete brands in the 1950s, all powered by Chistopol movements. These brands included Almaz, Chaika, Druzhba, Kama, Kolos, Mir, Pobeda, Raduga, Rubin, Saturn, Sputnik, Uran, Volna, Vostok, and Yantar. In 1964, the vast majority of these brands were consolidated under a single trademark: Vostok.
The Druzhba brand (友谊, meaning "friendship") was produced from 1954 until approximately 1960. It was designed specifically for the First Exhibition of Economic Cultural Achievement of the USSR in Beijing, and later sold on the Chinese market. Two main dial variations were produced, both featuring an image of the Forbidden City.
